The activities of insurance companies are regulated by the Law on Insurance Activities of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 18, 2000 No. 126-II . The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan carries out a supervisory function in the insurance market, issues licenses, and also tracks industry statistics.

EXPORT INSURANCE COMPANY “KAZAKHEXPORT”
“Export Insurance Company KazakhExport” JSC, a subsidiary of Baiterek National Management Holding JSC, is the only specialized insurance organization that performs the functions of an export credit agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
“KazakhExport” was created by Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated May 12, 2003 No. 442 as one of the new development institutions, whose mission is to support the growth of exports of non-commodity goods, works and services in priority sectors of the economy, as well as to develop the practice of financial insurance and non-financial support for Kazakhstan enterprises.
Functions:
- insurance (reinsurance) of export of non-primary goods and services;
- insurance (reinsurance) of investments abroad.

Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC
Joint-stock company Development Bank of Kazakhstan was established in accordance with:

Kazakh Export Export Insurance Company JSC
JSC “Export Insurance Company“ Kazakh Export ”was established in 2003 by a Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Status and Mandate:
- Insurance services for commercial and political risks accompanying the implementation of foreign economic contracts of exporting enterprises of the non-primary sector.
Capitalization and access to funding:
- Baa3 (Moody's) Credit Rating
- A cooperation agreement has been signed with Agrarian Credit Corporation JSC, under which the Kazakh Export coverage is accepted as highly liquid collateral
- In 2017, a capital increase of 13.9 billion tenge was obtained in order to ensure financial stability and increase the amount of support provided.
Kazyna Capital Management JSC was created in 2007 by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Status and Mandate:
- Development of private equity infrastructure in Kazakhstan in order to promote sustainable economic development of Kazakhstan.
- Formation of an independent cluster of management companies and funds for the effective development of private equity in Kazakhstan.
Portfolio:
- KKM invests in promising and strategically important private equity funds.
- 13 private equity funds with KKM participation, including 5 active ones.
- 7 funds were created at the initiative of the President and the Government of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund LLP
Kazakhstan Project Preparation Fund LLP was established on March 19, 2014 in accordance with the decision of the Coordination Council on PPP under the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 3, 2013.
The main goals and objectives of the Fund are to promote investment and economic development by providing services for financing the development of project documentation and advisory support of infrastructure projects, as well as projects in the manufacturing industry.

Standardization and certification
The state body in the field of technical regulation is the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology (CTRM) of the Ministry for Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Technical Regulation” dated November 9, 2004 No. 603 establishes the legal basis of the state system of technical regulation.
RGP "Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Certification" carries out its activities in order to fulfill the tasks of developing and improving the legislative framework and regulatory framework for the technical regulation of the quality and safety of products, works and services in the country and harmonizing them with international requirements.
Standards are applied on a voluntary basis and are developed by the business community, government agencies, and technical standardization committees.
Mandatory requirements for products are set in technical regulations, and methods and methods of production in standards.
National standards are approved by the KTRM. National standards are mandatory if the regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan contain instructions on this.
